PAASCU stands for Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, & Universities. PAASCU is a private organization which accredits academic programs and institutions that meet commonly accepted standards of quality education. Getting a PAASCU nod means that an academic institution/program is worth serious consideration by students, parents, and institutions involved in aid-granting and giving recognition. A “Level 1 Accreditation” means “partial administrative deregulation.” PAASCU has four levels of accreditation, each effective for three years. Congratulations, UPCN!
